Whitney & Jon- September 2014

What a marvelous day for a wedding! The only thing more beautiful  than the day was the wedding itself. When I got to the reception hall to set up the centerpieces I was blown away by all the beautiful details. Whitney wanted a more rustic look with her flowers, and chose bouquets made from hydrangea and baby's breath. It took some experimenting but I really love the final product.

Michelle & Nathen- September 2013

Two hundred and fifty Freedom red roses, 30 calla lilies from an online supplier and this is what I came up with.  Roses arrived on Wednesday and were put together Thursday evening and delivered on Friday morning.

Centerpieces - 1 silk calla lily, 5 red Freedom roses

centerpiece #2- 6 red roses tied together with raffia set in a mason jar.

Bridal bouquet:  Red Freedom roses, and calla lilies handpainted by moi!

A hand painted calla lily.
They came too yellow for my liking so I added some orange paint.
I love how they turned out!

A non hand painted calla lily.  But a different color choice.

Planning, and dreaming, and wishin and hopin!

of this beauty....

I have a new bride and am very excited for this one.  I haven't worked with Calla Lilies yet, and after a little change of plans, I am easing myself into it.  M picked red roses from Sam's Club and some pretty flame callas. But alas it was not meant to be... this morning when we went to order them, they were out of stock.

So I have found an alternative and I am taking a chance... I found some silk flowers we are going to try.  Which eases my mind a little because I don't have to worry about the colors or how well they will hold up.  Because they aren't real!

So right now I am planning and dreaming about this bridal bouquet, and wishing and hoping (and praying) that everything comes together beautifully.

Fran & Billy July 2013

This is my vey first paid event. I was incredibly nervous, but everything turned out great!  Scott even got in on the action by helping me figure out the best way to securely attach the ginormous wrist corsages.  I am hoping to blog a little bit about how we constructed them, what I would have done differently, and what I learned from the experience.

Fran and Billy chose Orange and white roses.  I have done orange flowers for a few other weddings, but I always love the tried and true combination of orange and white with pops of green.

Good Luck Fran and Billy, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
