Emily & Jamie- July 2013

Emily and Jamie got married in like the Christmas time of the rose world!  Hy-Vee was having their Million Stem Rose sale and we took advantage! About $80 for 10 dozen roses.

Fran & Billy July 2013

This is my vey first paid event. I was incredibly nervous, but everything turned out great!  Scott even got in on the action by helping me figure out the best way to securely attach the ginormous wrist corsages.  I am hoping to blog a little bit about how we constructed them, what I would have done differently, and what I learned from the experience.

Fran and Billy chose Orange and white roses.  I have done orange flowers for a few other weddings, but I always love the tried and true combination of orange and white with pops of green.

Good Luck Fran and Billy, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.

Chris & Amy October 2012

What a fun fall wedding!  Amy's colors were pink and orange, but she wanted bright colorful bouquets.  We saved money on flowers by buying premade bundles of flowers from Hy-Vee instead of buying per stem.  She also picked out some hot pink spray roses, and some Gerbera Daisies that she liked.

Her boutonnieres and moms' corsages were just made from pieces of the flower bundles and her bouquets turned out beautiful.  This was my first time using something other then just roses, but it looked great and we were both happy with the results!

Sam & Calvin February 2012

Sam and Calvin has probably been my favorite wedding to date.  Maybe because she is my little sister, and maybe because she pretty much let me plan their entire wedding (totally up my ally, not at all hers)

Her roses came from Sam's Club, and were a Valentine's day special bundle of 200 roses for just under $300.  Right now you can get 125 roses for under $90 shipped. Roses are typically more expensive between Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.  The jewel pins came from Ebay.

Mandy & Chase June 2011

Orange roses from Sam's Club, pearl sprays and purple wire gave this bouquet a breathtaking finish.

Mandy has been a friend of mine since kindergarten and I was so excited to not only be in her wedding, but I also was the florist and hair stylist too.  Did I mention I was 29 weeks pregnant with the twins at the same time??
